John Penovich

John Penovich has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. John began their career as a Technician, offering freelance audio engineering and technical services, including studio wiring, live event support and engineering, recording, electronics repair, and construction. During this time, they also worked as a Musician.

In 2005, John joined Strathmore Hall as an Audio Engineer in the AIR department, continuing until January 2020. In 2008, they joined Telos Systems, Omnia Audio, Axia Audio, and Linear Acoustic as a Field Support Technician, where they worked until January 2020.

Since January 2020, John has been working at Radio Free Asia as the Chief Technology Officer, alongside their role as Engineer 1, which they assumed in September 1998 and continues to hold.

John Penovich attended Episcopal High School from 1978 to 1981. John then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology at Vanderbilt University from 1981 to 1987.
