Maarten Jongen

Maarten Jongen has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Maarten is currently serving as the Business Development Director for Europe & Americas at Radio Holland since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Chairman of the Board at Stichting Strandexploitatie Veere since January 2021.

Maarten also has experience as the owner of Villa de Ophir, a historical villa that was renovated and serves as a family home with guest facilities. Maarten started this venture in November 2018.

In the maritime industry, Maarten held several positions at Damen Shipyards. Maarten served as the Commercial Director for the Singapore Region from July 2017 to December 2018. Before that, they were the Managing Director of DAMEN Shipyards Singapore from March 2012 to July 2017, which specialized in fabrication and maintenance of various vessels. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Damen Shipyards, including Regional Sales Director for Asia Pacific, Quality Manager, and Design and Proposal Engineer in Damen Technical Cooperation.

Maarten Jongen attended Delft University of Technology from 1995 to 2001, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Marine Technology. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they studied at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, earning a Post Graduate degree in Technical Business Administration.
