Jean Barry

Jean Barry has served as a Counselor and Professor at Merced College since 1983, specializing in international student counseling, personal and career development, and compliance with visa and homeland security requirements. Previous roles include serving as Faculty Lead and teaching various subjects such as psychology, human sexuality, and guidance orientation. Prior to Merced College, Jean Barry held positions as Business Manager and Accountant for multiple car dealerships and agricultural firms from 1977 to 1983, with training from GMAC and experience teaching cost-accounting classes. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Argosy University, a Master of Arts in Education/School Counseling, and a Bachelor in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
