SVP and Physician Leader, Care Redesign and Managed Care & COO, Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego at Rady Children's Hospital

Charles B. Davis is the SVP and Physician Leader of Care Redesign and Managed Care as well as the COO of Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego at Rady Children's Hospital. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Health Plan Design and Management at TriWest Healthcare Alliance from July 2005 to March 2013. In this role, they provided strategic healthcare consulting for the Military Health System in the TRICARE West Region with a focus on Military Treatment Facilities. Charles was also responsible for region-wide roll out of Patient Centered Medical Home and successful NCQA recognition, behavioral health clinic optimization, surgical and specialty services optimization, and creative investment solutions to increase capacity and market share.

From November 2001 to June 2005, Charles served as the Deputy Commander (COO) of the Naval Medical Center San Diego. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the medical center as well as its staff of over 3,000 personnel.

Charles is also a practicing neonatologist and has been providing staffing solutions for Military Treatment Facilities specializing in hard to fill and challenging staffing gaps.

Charles B. Davis attended Tufts Medical School and Williams College. Charles earned their MD and BA in Economics and Theirtory, respectively.
