Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine
Lucia Guidugli, Ph.D., FACMG, currently serves as the Clinical Laboratory Director and Associate Laboratory Director at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine since September 2019. Previously, Lucia held the position of Director of Molecular Genetics at Blueprint Genetics and served as the Assistant Laboratory Technical Director at Ambry Genetics. Lucia completed a clinical molecular genetics fellowship at The University of Chicago, focusing on molecular genetics techniques and the clinical significance of genetic variants. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral research fellowship at Mayo Clinic, where Lucia characterized over 100 variants of unknown significance in the BRCA2 gene. Lucia earned a Ph.D. in Experimental and Molecular Oncology from Università di Pisa and a Master of Science in Biological Science from the same institution.
