Irina Vasenkova PhD, HCLD/TS(ABB) has extensive work experience in the field of genomics. Irina Vasenkova began their career in 2004 as a Research Scientist at Open Biosystems. In 2008, they moved to Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Research Scientist 2, specializing in Genomics and designing and developing complex lentiviral transgenes for expression in eukaryotic cells. Irina Vasenkova obtained their Bachelor's degree in Cytology and Genetics from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) between 1992 and 1997. Irina Vasenkova then earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cytology and Genetics from the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences. Afterwards, they completed a Postdoc at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2016, they obtained their Technical Supervisor (TS) certification from the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). In 2021, they obtained their High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) certification from the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). Finally, in 2022, they obtained their Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing and Virology (SARS-CoV-2) from the New York State Department of Health.
