Yogaraj Perumal

Yogaraj Perumal has a diverse work experience in the field of DevOps and infrastructure management. Yogaraj started their career as a Linux System Administrator at NixServe IT solutions, where they provided technical consulting for hosting companies from 2011 to 2014.

Yogaraj then joined Flipkart.com as a Site Reliability Engineer in 2014, where they managed the production infrastructure hosting the e-commerce platform. Their responsibilities included working on Linux, Networking, Load balancers, KVM, MySQL, Nagios, and designing monitoring dashboards.

In 2015, Yogaraj joined SAP Ariba as a DevOps Engineer. Yogaraj was part of the Cloud Ops team and managed their hybrid cloud infrastructure, monolithics, GCP, and microservices. Their work involved utilizing technologies such as Docker, Consul, Nomad, Salt, Python, GCP, and DR setups.

Since 2019, Yogaraj has been working at Rafay, initially as a Lead DevOps Engineer and currently as the Manager of Onprem and Solutions Engineering. As a founding member of the company, they designed and built most of the infrastructure and automations. Yogaraj also developed and owned the Onprem project of Rafay SaaS platform. Their current role involves building and managing the Onprem engineering team and Solutions Engineering team for solving customer problems in Kubernetes. Yogaraj actively works with technologies like Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Ansible, AWS, and Salt.

Yogaraj Perumal completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University Chennai between 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they obtained the certification of CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in November 2022.
