Lead UX Researcher / Designer at Raft

Ram Ramarolahy has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Customer Experience Assistant Manager at Big 5 Sporting Goods for two years. From 2013 to 2015, they served as a Team Experience Manager at jcpenney. In 2015, they transitioned to the banking industry and worked as a Banking Experience Specialist at U.S. Bank until 2017. In 2019, Ramarolahy joined SpaceCAMP as a Software Designer but left in January 2020. Later that year, they joined DoD Platform One as a User Experience Designer and Lead Designer for IronBank until November 2021. In 2021, they moved to Space CAMP as a Senior Software Designer, focusing on UX and UI, until June 2022. Currently, Ramarolahy works at Raft as a Senior UX Researcher and Designer, starting in August 2022.

Ram Ramarolahy obtained a Graduate Certificate in Web Technologies and Full Stack Development from Harvard Extension School from 2018 to 2019. In the same time period, they also received a Certification in User Experience Design, Usability Testing, Emotional Design, and Mobile UX from The Interaction Design Foundation. Prior to that, Ramarolahy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the United States Air Force Academy from 2006 to 2010. Ram has also acquired additional certifications such as Learning Enterprise Web Application Performance and Learning Web Analytics from Lynda.com in June 2019, as well as various certifications in UX design and related topics from the Interaction Design Foundation in April 2018.
