Jill Huchital has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry. Jill started their career in 1993 as a Software Engineer at Colossal Pictures. Jill then moved on to SGI in 1994 as a Technical Lead/Engineering Manager. In 1999, they became the Director of Engineering at TiVo Inc., where they led teams of Principal Engineers, Members of the Technical Staff, user experience designers, quality assurance engineers, and I/T engineers to introduce new customer- and partner-facing features to the TiVo digital video recorder (DVR). In 2005, they became the Engineering Director at Google, Inc., where they were responsible for a cross-functional team of software and mechanical engineers, product managers, and UX, building technology to address global challenges. From 2008-2011, they were the Engineering Director at YouTube. In 2012, they became the Head of Engineering, Principal Engineer at Qplay, Inc., where they were employee #1 and worked across server and client to implement a service that lets users curate personalized video streams. From 2017-2020, they were the Co-Founder and Head of Product at Ragtag, building a movement of technologists to amplify progressive organizing in innovative and high-impact ways. Jill also served as a Strategic Advisor for Grow Progress in 2018 and MobilizeAmerica in 2017. Additionally, they were a Startup Advisor for various Bay Area startups in 2015.

Jill Huchital attended Brown University from 1986 to 1989, where they earned an A.B. in Computer Science. Jill also attended Andrew Warde, although no degree was earned. In 2016, they obtained a certification as a "Learn IT, Girl" second edition mentor from Accredible.
