Urvi Patel is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Experience includes roles as a Nursing Assistant at UNC Health, where assistance was provided to patients with daily activities and monitoring of vital signs, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Vaziri Lab since January 2024. Urvi Patel also holds the position of Senior Medical Operations Specialist at Railcare Health and has been involved as a Co-Founder and Co-President of The Dermatology Society at UNC-CH. Additional experience includes serving as a Chemistry Teaching Assistant for the Summer Bridge Program at the University of North Carolina and an Intern at Modern Ritual Health.

Railcare Health is a nonprofit mobile clinic that works to bring healthcare to underinsured and uninsured communities in rural North Carolina. We additionally focus on expanding access to care for marginalized populations. Our current projects include COVID-19 testing for NC's migrant farm worker communities, LGBTQ+ clinic events, and primary care for rural towns.
