Edmund O'Toole

Edmund O'Toole currently serves as General Counsel at Railinc Corp. since September 2021. Prior to this role, O'Toole was a Senior Partner and member of the Governing Board at Venable LLP from June 2005 to August 2021, where expertise in building cross-cultural teams and turnaround strategies was demonstrated. O'Toole co-founded Heard & O'Toole, working as a Collaborative Leader focused on operations, strategy, and cross-border litigation from June 2000 to June 2005. O'Toole also co-founded Sullivan & Heard, specializing in complex commercial litigation and risk management from January 2000 to January 2002, and began the legal career as a Litigation Associate at Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLC from January 1996 to January 2000. O'Toole earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Williams College.
