Alexander Chemeris is a highly accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in telecommunications and software development. Currently, Alexander serves as the Head of Platform R&D, Strategic Projects, and AI at rain South Africa, where strategic projects for a 4G/5G mobile operator are driven. As the CTO and Founder of Fairwaves, Alexander has been instrumental in pioneering OpenRAN base stations and significantly reducing mobile communication costs in rural areas. Additionally, Alexander co-founded Neuron hackspace to promote hacker culture in Moscow and held various roles in prominent companies, including project lead at YADRO, software consultant and engineer at ZAO Vivoss, and lead developer at SIPez LLC. Alexander's academic background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science and Math from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
