George Greenlee has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. George currently holds the position of Head of Training at RAIN RFID Alliance since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Huawei Technologies from 2015 to 2018, taking on the role of Head of Platform Business Modelling where they focused on ecosystem development and platform business model design. Before that, they served as the Chief Marketing Officer at bobbil from 2014 to 2018, where they led efforts in product/market fit and online B2B marketing.
From 2002 to 2017, George was the CEO and Founder of HGTelekom, a consulting and training firm specializing in the communications industry. During this time, they worked with various companies, including Huawei, Axiata, and TM Forum, and mentored startup management teams. Additionally, their responsibilities included business strategy development and providing membership development and executive staff to the TM Forum.
In 2015, George briefly served as the VP of European Operations at Mercury Creative, LLC, a digital agency focused on customer engagement. George'smain task was growing the company's European customer base.
From 2003 to 2013, they held a senior executive position at TM Forum as the Senior Vice President, Training, Conformance, and Member Services. George played a key role in expanding membership and generating sales.
George's earlier experiences include roles such as European Sales Director at PurpleAce in 2003 and Senior VP, Executive board member at CMG WDS from 1999 to 2002. George also held various positions at Motorola from 1989 to 1999, including Engineering Manager, and at DCA in 1988 as the R+D Manager.
George Greenlee attended Trinity College Dublin from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. George also pursued further education in Strategic Account Management at CMG WDS and Executive Management at the Irish Management Institute. Additionally, George received training in CEMI and Six Sigma at Motorola, and further developed their managerial skills at Motorola as well.
