Josef Preishuber-Pfluegl

Josef Preishuber-Pfluegl is an experienced professional in the wireless technology industry. Josef began their career in 2000 as Vice Chairman for Austrian Standards, and has since held various roles in the industry. In 2003, they became the Vice President and Executive Vice President of CISC Semiconductor GmbH, and also served as Convener for ISO/IEC JTC1 SC31/WG4, ISO/IEC JTC1 WG4/SG6, and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC31/WG7. In 2007, they began working as a FP7/FP6/Horizon 2020 project review expert for the European Commission. In 2012, they founded the RFID Professional Institute Inc., and in 2018 they became a Director and member of the Council for the Low Power Radio Association. In 2021, they became Chairman of the WLC-TF WireLess Charging Task Force for the NFC Forum, and in 2023 they became the Founder and Owner of innobir e.U., and Head of Regulatory Affairs for the RAIN RFID Alliance.

Josef Preishuber-Pfluegl attended the BG und BRG Braunau from 1982 to 1986, followed by HTL Braunau from 1986 to 1991. Josef then went on to obtain a DI in Telematik from the Technische Universität Graz between 1991 and 1996.
