An entrepreneur throughout his life, Jim invested in restaurants, bars and real estate. Developing some of the most well known restaurants and bars in Dallas as well as restoring houses throughout the DFW area. With his latest venture, Rain Systems, Jim is focused on water conservation. With the goal of making a positive, environmental impact within his community and the world around him.
In 2009, Jim Sibert became aware of cross-link polymers and realized the potential. At that time, there was no technique available to install cross-link polymers known as hydrogels into existing turf. Jim dedicated his time to inventing, patenting and building the prototype for proof of concept of his patents. He built the Precision Injection Machine, the first to market water conservation system that uses computer-controlled water injection with such
precision that it leaves no visible impact to the turf – even on putting greens.
In 2016, he and Elaine Sibert began working together after becoming a portfolio company at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator. Implementing pilots with California State Univeristy Northridge, City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, Los Angeles Unified School District and several golf courses in Southern California.
Jim is now focused on scaling his Precision Injection Machine to a higher utilization capacity in order to launch Rain Systems and grow the company across the country.
