Jose Sagastume

Jose Sagastume is an experienced professional in the field of certification and quality assurance, currently serving as the CB Support Manager for Quality of Implementation at Rainforest Alliance since July 2019. In this role, Jose develops strategies to support Certification Bodies within the Rainforest Alliance Certification Program. Previous positions at Rainforest Alliance include Senior Officer for Standard & Assurance and Interim Manager for Quality of Implementation. Prior to joining Rainforest Alliance, Jose worked at Mayacert Chile as a Certification Auditor and as an independent consultant for FUDESOL, assisting small producers in developing organic production models in eastern Guatemala. Jose holds a degree in Agronomy with an emphasis on business from Universidad Rafael Landívar, obtained between 2011 and 2017.
