Laila Madsö has extensive work experience in various communication and media roles. Madsö currently serves as the Head of Communications at Rainforest Foundation Norway, where they previously worked as a Senior Communication Adviser. Prior to that, they founded Greenstuff.no, an organization focused on increasing public knowledge about behavior economics related to food, climate, and health. Madsö also worked as a Book Author, using their background in neuro-linguistic programming to design a plant-based eating curriculum. Laila has also worked as a Senior Communications Adviser at Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation and as an Acquiring Book Editor at Gyldendal Norsk Forlag, where they also hosted a health and lifestyle podcast. Madsö has experience as an NLP Business Coach, Editor-In-Chief at Aller Media AS, Managing Editor at ELLE Norway, and a Television News Reporter and Reporter at TV 2. In addition, Laila has worked as a Project Leader at Active Loop Television AS and as a Feature Journalist at Red Magazine UK.
Madsö Laila completed a Cand Mag degree in Comparative politics/journalism from the University of Bergen (UiB) from 1990 to 1995. In 1993, they also attended Stockholm University for a brief period to study Comparative politics. Later, they pursued Finance and portfolio management at New York University from 1998 to 2001. In 2021, Madsö Laila expanded their knowledge by taking courses in "The Health Effects of Climate Change" and "Language, Proof and Logic" through edX. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in teambuilding, leadership, communication, and health coaching from institutions like Den Norske CoachForening DNCF and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
