A seasoned healthcare leader, entrepreneur and educator, David Young has more than three decades of experience in large and small organizations and in developing numerous startup companies. His background includes nearly 15 years leading telemedicine initiatives in Autism, child and adolescent behavioral care as well as the corrections and long-term care fields.
Mr. Young was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer of MindCare Solutions. As one of the founders of MindCare, he was recruited by the investors to develop the business plan, initial budgets, marketing plan and model of care delivery for this new telemedicine company. He brought his national connections in the industry along with a longstanding career leading new business development and turnaround efforts. Mr. Young previously served as the Vice President of Telepsychiatry services for a large managed care company where he was responsible for the development of a national in-house business line to provide services internally and externally.
He has held positions as COO for a multi-state behavioral services organization; Executive Director/CEO for the largest behavioral health authority in Texas, where he worked on jail diversion behavioral programming; CFO for the Autistic Treatment Center, Inc. (where continues to serve as a board member); and Assistant Professor for Health Services Administration at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Mr. Young served as a law enforcement officer early in his career and was a county jail detention officer responsible for coordinating medical care.
Mr. Young received his MBA with a concentration in Health Business Administration and Finance from the University of Dallas and his Bachelor’s Degree from Samford University.
