Eileen Sun

Eileen Sun has been with Rakuten Medical since January 2016 and is currently the Associate Director and Leader of Program Management. In this role, Eileen oversees the Global Program Management team and provides mentorship to four Program Managers. Prior to this role, Eileen served as the Director of Program Management where they were responsible for developing integrated program timelines spanning early development to commercialization in partnership with Translational Research, Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical, Manufacturing & Operations, Regulatory, Marketing, Commercial, Quality, and Business Development.

Eileen earned their undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Eileen went on to earn their MBA from the University of Southern California.

Eileen Sun completed their undergraduate studies at Columbia University, where they earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Eileen then went on to earn their MBA at the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Virology and Leder Human Biology and Translational Medicine Program at Harvard University.

Their manager is Hiroshi Mikitani, Vice Chairman & Co-CEO. They are on a team with Eduardo Rodenas - CMO, Abhijit Bhatia - Chief Strategy Officer, and Andreas Rose - President & MD, Rakuten Aspyrian Europe.
