Sho Tominaga has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sho started their career in 2005 at Sumitomo Corporation, where they worked in the retail business department. In 2007, they joined Sumitex International Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, where they served as a project organizer for the theme park business. Sho also held positions in production control and sales for apparel products, managing a team and overseeing joint venture factories in Vietnam and China. Sho was responsible for the closure of an Indian factory due to quality issues and directed the Chapter 11 process for a major dress shirts company. After that, Sho worked at Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, in their Global Education Business Team from 2013 to 2015. In 2016, Sho joined McKinsey & Company as a summer associate. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Principal | Chief Executive Innovation Officer at Rakuten Americas since October 2017.
Sho Tominaga earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from NYU Stern School of Business from 2015 to 2017.
