Kentaro Hyakuno

Kentaro Hyakuno currently serves as the Director, Executive Vice President, and COO of Rakuten Group Inc., a position held since March 2021, following extensive experience within Rakuten since February 2007 in roles such as Executive Vice President, COO, Chief Strategy Officer, and Managing Executive Officer and Director. Prior to joining Rakuten, Kentaro Hyakuno worked at Toyota Motor Corporation from 1990 to 2006, focusing on Operations, Engineering, and Company Turnaround while gaining international experience in Japan, Europe, and the USA. Educational credentials include a Corporate MBA from the Toyota Executive Development Program in 2004 and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes University obtained in 1990.
