Helen Singmaster Hernandez

Helen Singmaster Hernandez got her introduction to the food business while she was a college student – working first at a fast food chain and then for campus food services. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and obtained her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

She joined Raley’s in 2000 as Associate Corporate Counsel to assist with contracts, real estate and compliance matters. She now leads the legal team and is Raley’s corporate secretary. Helen previously worked in the business department at the Sacramento office of Downey Brand, participating in several mergers and acquisitions, including Raley’s acquisition of Nob Hill Foods.

Helen, a mom, stepmom and abuela, shares her love of fine food, swimming and the great outdoors with her husband of over 15 years, Paul.
