Michael A. Tripodi

Mr. Michael A. Tripodi, Vice President and General Counsel, joined Ramapo College in 2014. In addition to his duties as the College’s chief legal officer, Mr. Tripodi serves as the College’s Ethics Liaison Officer. In his role as General Counsel he is also responsible for the handling of all tort claim notices. Prior to joining Ramapo, Mr. Tripodi served as University Counsel and Ethics Liaison Officer at Kean University from 2003 to 2014. He has presented to student groups on “Ethics in the Workplace” and facilitates College-wide ethics training and compliance. Mr. Tripodi has completed trainings focused on workplace bullying, recusal and disqualification, and cyber security. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University’s School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science also from Seton Hall University and is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association. While Mr. Tripodi thoroughly enjoys losing himself in voluminous pages of contracts and legalese, he also enjoys the occasional breath of fresh air that, much to his son’s delight, is afforded to him as little league coach.
