Ronnie Abbo

Ronnie Abbo, MD has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Currently, they serve as the Deputy Director of the RAMBAM Center for Cardiovascular Research and Innovation at Rambam Health Care Campus. Ronnie also holds the position of Cardiology Fellow at the same institution.

In 2019, Dr. Abbo worked as a Medical Device Clinical Consultant, utilizing their expertise as an Internal medicine physician and medical device professional to bridge the gap between industry needs and clinical systems.

Dr. Abbo is an active member of 8400 - The Health Network, where they collaborate with other professionals in the healthcare industry.

As a Medical Device Startup Mentor at Biodesign Israel, Dr. Abbo contributes their knowledge and experience to support and guide emerging medical device companies.

In the past, Dr. Abbo held leadership positions as Chief Medical Officer at Cardiac Implants LLC and Sensible Medical Innovations Ltd. Ronnie also served as the VP of Clinical Affairs at Sensible Medical Innovations Ltd.

Dr. Abbo's earlier career includes roles as Product Director CARTO systems and Clinical Development Manager at Biosense Webster. Ronnie also worked as a Clinical Manager at BSP Biological Signal Processing and as a Clinical Analyst at Quark Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Abbo began their career as an MD, Internal Medicine Resident at Tel Aviv Medical center.

Ronnie Abbo, MD completed their medical education at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, earning an MD degree in Medicine from 1989 to 1998. Ronnie furthered their expertise by completing a Diving Medicine program at the Marine Medicine Institution, Haifa in 1997. Later, in 2011, they pursued a Medical Marketing Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management. In 2013, they graduated from the JNJ Marketing Mastery Program, specializing in Finance for Marketers, and also obtained a GCP degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials from The Bio-Medical College. Additionally, Ronnie Abbo obtained various certifications including Diving Physician from the Israel Medical Association in 2019, Internal Medicine from the Ministry of Health Israel in 2003, and an MD degree from the Ministry of Health Israel in 1998.
