John van Houtert has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. John started their career at Philips Semiconductors where they worked on the development of a digital data stream processor. John then moved on to Pijnenburg Custom Chips/Securealink as an ASIC Design Engineer, specializing in customer-specific ASICs with embedded security functions. Later, John joined SafeNet where they held various roles including Senior ASIC Design Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Product Manager, and finally, Technical Support Manager. John then worked at AuthenTec as a Technical Support Manager before joining INSIDE Secure as a Team Lead in Customer Support Configurations & QA. After Verimatrix acquired INSIDE Secure, John continued their role as Team Lead until joining Rambus as a Team Lead in Customer Support & QA. Throughout their career, John has focused on bridging the gap between customers and product development.

John then went on to Anton van Duinkerken College from 1983 to 1989, although no degree or field of study is specified.
