Johnny Kim

Johnny (Hyun-Joong) Kim has a solid work experience in the semiconductor industry. Johnny (Hyun-Joong) started their career in the Republic of Korea Army as a Sergeant from December 2000 to February 2003. Johnny (Hyun-Joong) then joined Samsung Electronics as a DRAM Circuit Design Engineer from February 2007 to June 2009. After that, they held the role of Memory Product Planning and Memory Solution Architect Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics from June 2009 to November 2019. During this time, they were also actively involved in various DRAM task groups as a committee and task group chair at JEDEC Solid State Technology Association from June 2009 to September 2021. Following this, they became the Principal Engineer of DRAM Customer Engineering for Cloud and Server Applications at Samsung Semiconductor from November 2019 to January 2023. Currently, they work as a Sr. Principal Memory IP Engineer for Silicon IP FAE team at Rambus starting in January 2023.

Johnny Kim attended Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea from 1998 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Johnny (Hyun-Joong) then pursued further education at the same university from 2005 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Science degree in the same field.
