Hilary Garnett

Hilary qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and is a Solicitor and Partner in Ramsdens’ Litigation and Employment teams, based at our Edgerton office. She acts principally for owner-managed businesses in a range of sectors, including printing, manufacturing, professional services and health care but also for high net-worth individuals.

She specialises in large scale and complex Commercial Litigation, including disputes relating to contracts, property, and construction/building claims. Her practice includes insolvency issues, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims and contentious aspects of Employment Law.

Hilary has conducted Litigation at all levels of the civil courts and tribunals, including the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She also represents clients in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation and mediation.

Hilary is a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings) and a Notary Public. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Solicitors’ Association of Higher Courts Advocates and the Notaries Society.
