Joanne Coen

Joanne is a Partner and Heads the Care department.

Joanne joined Ramsdens through the merger of Whitfield Hallam Goodall in 2010.

She specialises in child law and in particular representing children, parents and other relatives in public law proceedings involving social services - known as care proceedings. Joanne also deals with instructions of adoption and special guardianship cases.

She is a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel, is a trained Collaborative lawyer and recommended in The Legal 500, 2021.

She was nominated in the Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards 2015, Northern Power Women Awards 2017 and was a finalist in the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2017, Family category.

Joanne holds the position of Trustee at The Art House, Wakefield and is an Ambassador at Child Friendly Leeds (CFL).
