Sarah Ward

Sarah Ward is a Partner and Specialist Family Lawyer.

Sarah is a member of Resolution and committed to resolving disputes in a constructive and non confrontational way. She specialises in divorce and financial settlements especially those involving business assets, shareholdings, pensions and properties. She also advises on pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements and disputes. Sarah is also able to advise unmarried couples and has brought claims for an order for sale of a jointly owned property, including taking a case to the Court of Appeal, as well as orders under Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 for financial provision for children.

Sarah is a collaborative lawyer which involves both parties and their lawyers meeting together to resolve issues of finances and children, giving clients control of the process. Sarah is an active member of the Kirklees and Calderdale Collaborative Group.

She is a member of the Huddersfield Law Society’s Uganda Twinning Committee and has been to Uganda to provide training to lawyers there.

Sarah is also a school governor and regularly takes part in charity events for the local community.
