Kimberly Kanigel Winner

Kimberly Kanigel Winner has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kimberly started their career as the Owner of Ideal Studios LLC from 1998 to 2000. Kimberly then worked as a Sales Associate at Acorn Street Shop from 2005 to 2007.

Moving into academia, Kimberly worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of New Mexico from 2007 to 2010. During this time, they also conducted research on West Nile virus viremia data collection and analysis under Dr. Melanie Moses in Computer Science.

Kimberly then joined The New Mexico Center for the Spatiotemporal Modeling of Cell Signaling as a Graduate Assistant from 2010 to 2015. Here, they collaborated with the Wilson Lab to build a multi-scale model of ovarian cancer relapse.

Kimberly's work at the University of Colorado began in 2015 as a Post-doctoral Fellow, where they focused on analyzing RNA-seq and other large datasets in bladder cancer research. Kimberly later extended their work to examine tumor heterogeneity and drug resistance. Additionally, they explored pathogenic etiologies of bladder cancer using genomic methods.

In 2018, Kimberly took on the role of a Research Computing Analyst at the University of Colorado, providing user support to CSU users and contributing to the operation of the RMACC-Summit supercomputer.

Currently, they are employed as a Data Curator at Rancho BioSciences since 2019.
