Zachary Whitfield

Zachary Whitfield has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Zachary began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Davis in 2004 and continued until 2007. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Student at MIT from 2007 to 2013. Zachary then joined UCSF as a Postdoctoral Researcher in November 2013 until August 2018. From September 2018 onwards, they worked in various roles at Rancho BioSciences, including Data Curator (contractor), Scientist (Bioinformatics), Team Leader, Senior Scientist (Bioinformatics), and Senior Team Leader, Pipeline and Engineering in Bioinformatics. Zachary'smost recent position is as the Group Leader, Bioinformatics at Rancho BioSciences since March 2023.

Zachary Whitfield completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis, between 2003 and 2007. Zachary then pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology, General from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from 2007 to 2013.
