Amaya Genaro has extensive work experience in community services, governance, and program implementation. Amaya currently serves as the Vice President of Community Services at Rancho Mission Viejo, where they lead the Community Life team in strategic direction and implementation of lifestyle services and programs. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Community Services at the same company.
Before joining Rancho Mission Viejo, Amaya was the President of Amaya Joy, Inc. Amaya provided practical implementation solutions for facilities, amenities, and lifestyle services to support developers and nonprofit boards. Amaya also supported various organizations, including Rancho Mission Viejo and Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation.
Earlier in their career, Amaya worked at The Merit Companies. During their time there, they served as Vice President, operationalizing developer vision for key clients and introducing new governance models. Amaya also launched various company programs and training initiatives, achieving high account retention rates. Amaya also held the positions of Executive Director at SAMLARC and District/ Regional Manager at The Merit Companies.
Amaya Genaro obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. In 2007, they completed an Online Certificate in Intergenerational Programs from the University of Pittsburgh.
