Al Chin

Director District Safety And Security at Rancho Santiago Community College District

Al Chin has extensive experience in the field of safety and security within the education sector. Al started their career at Long Beach City College in 1984, where they served as the Chief of the College Safety Department until 1997. During this time, they oversaw safety and security operations at the college. In 1997, they joined the Rancho Santiago Community College District as the Director of District Safety and Security. In this role, they provided on-site security services to Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College, including their satellite centers and sites. Al Chin's expertise in safety and security has been dedicated to ensuring the well-being of students and staff in the educational institutions they have served.

Al Chin attended UCLA from 1971 to 1974 where they studied political science. After that, from 1976 to 1978, they attended California State University, Los Angeles, where they completed a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration.
