Marlene Garcia Swider PhD has extensive work experience in various roles. Marlene is currently the CEO and Founder of Biotechonline, a position they have held since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University starting in August 2019. Marlene also served as the Regional Director for Employer Engagement in Life Sciences/Biotech and Advanced Manufacturing at Rancho Santiago Community College District from June 2019. Marlene has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Los Angeles - College of Business and Economics since April 2017. Marlene'searly career was spent at the FDA, where they held multiple positions including Quality Manager, CSO. During their time at the FDA, they developed quality programs, analyzed and implemented policies, taught technical skills, and coordinated improvement projects. Marlene also worked as a reviewer, regulatory affairs specialist, public affairs specialist, and program analyst. Marlene's work experience showcases their expertise in various areas, including biotech, academia, and quality management.

Marlene Garcia Swider, PhD, has an extensive education history. In 1979, they began their academic journey at the Universidad de Puerto Rico, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General. Following that, from 1983 to 1985, Marlene pursued a Master's degree in Health Services Administration at the same institution.

Building on their educational foundation, Marlene enrolled in Capella University in 2009. It was there that they embarked on their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Organizational Management, which they successfully completed in 2014.

In addition to their formal degrees, Marlene has obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2011, they became a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) through the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Marlene further enhanced their qualifications by obtaining the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from the ASQ in 2015. In 2016, Marlene earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Most recently, in 2017, they obtained the CISR - Continual Improvement Social Responsibility certification from the SHERPA Sustainability Institute.
