Akshay Marajh

Akshay Marajh is an accomplished IT Risk Manager in Global Markets at Rand Merchant Bank since November 2018, bringing extensive experience in risk assurance and auditing. Prior to this role, Akshay served as a Senior Specialist Auditor at FirstRand group from August 2017 to October 2018 and held various positions at PwC South Africa from January 2013 to August 2017, including Manager and Senior Associate within the IT Risk Assurance practice. Akshay also gained international experience with a secondment to PwC's Boston office. Earlier work experience includes a part-time role as a Sales and Marketing Assistant at P Lala and Company from June 2003 to June 2012. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Information Technology Systems and Security from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2012, and attended Arena Park Secondary from 2004 to 2008.
