Cecilia Cameron

Cecilia Cameron has over 20 years of work experience in risk management and operational risk. Cecilia began their career at ABSA Bank as a Consultant, where they worked on various projects related to credit risk information, relationship management, and re-engineering lending processes. Cecilia then joined Barclays PLC - Africa as a Regional Service Delivery MIS Manager, responsible for developing and implementing management information systems. Cecilia later worked at Barclays PLC South Africa as the Head of Commercial Management/Operations. Cecilia then transitioned to Citi, where they held the position of Enterprise Risk & Operational Risk Manager for the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Currently, they are working at RMB - Rand Merchant Bank as the Risk Assurance Lead and has previously held roles such as Head of Operational Risk for the Corporate Banking and Banking Cluster divisions. Throughout their career, Cecilia has demonstrated a strong focus on risk management, governance, and process improvement.

Cecilia Cameron attended North-West University/Noordwes-Universiteit from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a B Com Honours in Financial Management/Management Accounting & B Com Accountancy. Their field of study focused on auditing, accounting, and audit & financial risk management.
