Amanda Rumore is an accomplished academic with a focus in biology, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Biology at Randolph College since June 2012. Prior to this role, Amanda held positions as an Assistant Professor and Instructor of Biology at the same institution, where responsibilities included directing the Summer Research Program and coordinating the Equine Studies Minor. Amanda's academic journey included significant research and teaching roles at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, culminating in a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialization in microbiology and immunology from Virginia Tech, where Amanda also earned a Certificate in Future Professoriate and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, complemented by a minor in chemistry.
