Ioannis Kyriakos

Ioannis Kyriakos has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ioannis currently holds the position of Lead Data Scientist at The Rank Group plc, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk Modelling and Analytics at heylo from July 2020 to April 2022. Before that, they worked at NHBC as a Data Science Manager from July 2018 to December 2019. In 2018, they were a Senior Data Scientist at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from January to June. Earlier in their career, they worked at Thomson Reuters as a Senior Quantitative Modeller and Quantitative Modeller from May 2017 to December 2017 and from January 2016 to April 2017, respectively. Ioannis also held positions at Nielsen as an Advanced Modeling Analyst from March 2014 to December 2015 and as an Advanced Analytic Consultant from July 2011 to February 2014. Ioannis worked as a Biostatistician as an independent professional from June 2007 to December 2013. Additionally, they were a Cati Manager at DataPower sa from May 2010 to July 2011. Ioannis started their career at Hellinic Statistics Authority as an Associate - Accounting elements Greek Industrial zone from January 2002 to March 2003.

Ioannis Kyriakos has a strong educational background in the field of statistics and data analytics. Ioannis obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Athens University of Economics and Business, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Ioannis then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics at the same university, completing their studies from 2005 to 2007.

In 2014, Kyriakos further enhanced their statistical modeling skills by completing a certification course in Statistical Modeling with R at Athens University of Economics and Business. This certification provided him with additional expertise in applying statistical techniques using the R programming language.

In 2020, Kyriakos completed the Applied Data Science with Python Specialization course offered by Coursera. This certification further enhanced their skills in data science and Python programming.

In recent years, Kyriakos has focused on obtaining certifications in data engineering and generative artificial intelligence. Ioannis completed the Azure Databricks & Spark For Data Engineers course from Udemy in 2023, which equipped him with expertise in PySpark and SQL. Ioannis also achieved the Academy Accreditation in Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals and Generative AI Fundamentals from Databricks in 2023.
