Brendan Klare's work experience includes positions at various companies and organizations. Brendan is currently the Chief Scientist, President, and Co-Founder of Rank One Computing, a company known for its facial recognition algorithm development. Prior to this, Brendan was the CEO and Co-Founder of Rank One Computing, where they played a key role in offering their flagship product, the ROC SDK™.
Before their work at Rank One Computing, Brendan worked at Noblis as the Manager of the Visual Analytics Lab. In this role, they established a computer vision lab and built a team of eight engineers. Brendan also contributed to business development, leading to annual revenues of over $2 million. Brendan also served as the principal investigator for the testing and evaluation of the IARPA Janus program, focusing on unconstrained face recognition.
Brendan's previous experience includes roles at Michigan State University, where they worked on facial recognition algorithms and database search systems using alternate modalities like sketches. Brendan also worked at Accusoft Pegasus as a Software Engineer and served in the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment as an Infantry soldier.
Brendan Klare earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of South Florida from 2007 to 2008, and a B.S. in Computer Science, also from the University of South Florida, from 2005 to 2007.
