Dan Roumen's work experience began in 1986 at the Ministerie van LNV as an Ingenieur Intensieve Veehouderij. Dan then moved on to Roxell NV in 1990, where they worked as a Product Manager and Market Introduction Manager. In 1998, they joined Vencomatic BV as a Sales & Marketing Manager, responsible for worldwide marketing and sales activities. From 2002 to 2015, they worked at Vostermans Ventilation and Vostermans Alu Foundries as a Marketing Manager, overseeing strategic and tactical marketing tasks. In 2006, they became a Board member at MarketingCirkel Limburg, serving until 2013. Currently, they are working at Ranpak as a Product Manager for Void Fill and Marketing Champion for Sustainability. Dan joined Ranpak in 2016, and they are also responsible for the thermal packaging product line.

Dan Roumen has a diverse education history spanning from 1972 to 2015. In 1972, they attended Bisschoppelijk College Echt where they studied at the atheneum level. From 1978 to 1986, they pursued their higher education at Wageningen University & Research, specializing in animal husbandry and obtaining their Ir degree. In 1993 and 1994, Dan earned a certificate in marketing from Vlerick Business School. Continuing their education in the field of marketing, they completed various courses and received certificates and diplomas in strategic marketing from 1995 to 2015. In 2012 to 2014, they further enhanced their skills by becoming a Master Teacher in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
