Matthew Whitehead

Matthew Whitehead is currently serving as the APEX Gallery Director and Lecturer of Fine Art at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where Matthew teaches photography courses. Matthew is also the Board President of the Rapid City Arts Council. In the past, Matthew has held positions as Assistant Professor of Photography at Santa Fe College, Professor of Art at Flagler College, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida. Additionally, Matthew has experience as a Designer/Creator at Rescue Threads, a company that creates bags from recycled firefighting gear and donates profits to firefighters in need.
