Derek Mann has extensive experience in law enforcement and public service, currently serving as a Traffic Crash Reconstructionist at the Rapid City Police Department since February 2017. Prior to this role, Derek worked as an Associate at Aflac, where representation of medical benefit products was a key responsibility. Derek's background includes a long tenure with the South Dakota Highway Patrol from September 1991 to April 2016, where responsibilities encompassed duties as a Motor Officer, Crash Reconstructionist, Crash Investigation Instructor, Forensic Mapper and Scanner, and Firearms Instructor. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government/Criminal Justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead, complemented by a high school diploma from Langford High School.
