Jared Laucks has diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jared started their career in 2007 as the Founder of j_laucks, where they worked until 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Industrial Designer at Formlabs from 2014 to 2015. In 2012, Jared served as a Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab for the Mediated Matter group. Jared also worked as a Designer at Interface Studio Architects from 2012 to 2012. Furthermore, Jared was an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University, teaching courses on Vis: Advanced Modeling and Vis I: Digital Modeling from 2010 to 2012. In 2015, they joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Research Scientist and Co-Director at the Self-Assembly Lab. Jared is currently a Co-Founder at RLP, Rapid Liquid Print, since 2018, and an Adjunct Lecturer at Boston University from 2019 to 2019. Jared also worked as Shop Staff at Autodesk Technology Centers from 2016 to 2018.
Jared Laucks completed their Bachelor of Architecture degree at Philadelphia University from 2003 to 2008. In 2007, they participated in a study abroad program at the American University of Rome, focusing on architecture. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Jared pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Media Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
