Shane O'Connell

Shane O'Connell's work experience starts with their current position as a Principal Engineer at Rapid Silicon since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Compiler Engineer at Groq from January 2021 to February 2022. Shane also had a significant tenure at Intel Corporation, where they held various roles including Deep Learning Software Engineer from April 2016 to January 2021, Senior Software Engineer from May 2015 to April 2016, Senior Software Engineer from September 2013 to May 2015, and Senior Design Engineer from May 2010 to September 2013. Before joining Intel, they gained experience in the industry as a Design Engineer (student position) at Avalon Microelectronics, with positions from August to December 2009, January to April 2009, and April to August 2008. Shane also worked as a Software Engineer (student position) and Quality Assurance Engineer (student position) at Consilient in 2007. Lastly, they started their early career as a Technical Support (student position) at National Research Council Canada from April to August 2006, where they provided technical support and implemented a centralized logging system for logging entries from various operating systems.

Shane O'Connell pursued their education in the field of computer engineering. Shane completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland from 2004 to 2010. Following this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering (M.Eng.) from the University of Toronto, which they accomplished during the years 2014 to 2017.
