Amanda Parkin

Senior Manager, Customer Research at Rapid7

Amanda Parkin has a diverse work experience beginning in 2012. Amanda started as a Project Manager at Worcester County Memorial Park before transitioning to a Marketing Intern role at Building Engines, Inc. in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing Database Intern at both Neolane and Adobe. Following this, they joined the User Experience Center at Bentley University as a Department Assistant in 2014. For the next two years, from 2015 to 2017, they worked at athenahealth as a User Research & Experience Designer. In 2017, they joined Rapid7 and gradually progressed in their roles from a User Experience Researcher to a Lead Customer Researcher. Amanda then became a Manager and ultimately reached the position of Senior Manager, Customer Research by 2023.

Amanda Parkin completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing, with a concentration in LSM in Media, Arts and Society, at Bentley University from 2008 to 2014. Later, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Factors in Information Design at the same institution from 2014 to 2015.
