Geert Kinthaert

Geert Kinthaert has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Geert started their career at Harvard Business School in 1990, where they worked in the Operations Group for Executive Education for eight years. Geert then moved on to IDX Corporation as a Software Analyst in 1998, before joining Litton PRC (now Northrop Grumman Corporation) as a Web Software Developer in 1999. Geert also worked as a Consultant and freelance Web Developer for Harvard Business Publishing from 2000 to 2002.

In 2001, Geert joined Northrop Grumman Corporation Information Technology - Defense Group as a Senior Software Developer, where they designed and maintained a complex development and test application infrastructure. Geert later became a Manager of Software Development, overseeing web systems design and maintenance.

From 2008 to 2011, Geert worked at Suffolk University as the Director of Web Services. In this role, they managed a suite of homegrown and third-party web applications, as well as the web sites of various academic departments. Geert also supervised a team of web administrators, developers, and a system architect.

Geert then moved on to Boston University in 2012, where they served as the Manager of Applications for IS&T Student/Graduate Financial Systems. In this role, they focused on aligning service delivery with business unit needs and managing service operations.

In 2015, Geert joined Utility Datacenter as a Consultant, Client Liaison, and Project Lead, where they worked until 2019.

Most recently, Geert worked at Rapid7 as a Senior Software Engineer from 2019 to 2020, before being promoted to Manager of Applications Support in July 2020.

Geert Kinthaert has an extensive education history. Geert obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, where they studied Business and Accounting from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Project Management program at Boston University in 2007. In 2002, Geert earned a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Brandeis University. Geert also received a certificate in Client/Server Programming and Web Development from Clark University in 1999.

Geert began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science from Ghent University between 1984 and 1989. Geert also holds a High School Diploma from Sint-Lodewijkscollege.
