Marc Friend

Marc Friend has extensive work experience in executive and leadership roles. Marc currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Rapid, where they are responsible for software development and integration using APIs. Previously, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Sunbasket, where they achieved profitability and increased revenue growth. Marc also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at PubNub, where they expanded the company's finance and accounting infrastructure and significantly grew revenues. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer and CFO at Intalio, overseeing multinational finance and operations teams and leading the company's turnaround and exit strategy. Additionally, Friend worked as a Venture Partner at Saints Capital, General Partner at MF Capital LLC, and General Partner at Summit Partners. Marc also held roles as a Board Director and Executive Chairman at Acsis, leading the company's transformation and successful sale. Friend began their career as a General Partner and Associate at U.S. Venture Partners, sourcing and closing early-stage venture investments.

Marc Friend obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1986. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at MIT from 1986 to 1987. Later, they attended Harvard Business School, where they acquired a Master of Business Administration (MBA) between 1992 and 1994.
