Kurt Scherer

Kurt Scherer is the Managing Director at C5 Capital, where they focus on early-stage investments aimed at transforming critical infrastructure in energy, space, and data privacy. They have been involved with several organizations, serving as an investor and board observer for companies such as Enveil, X-energy, RapidSOS, and Hazelcast. Kurt is also a member of the advisory boards for George Mason University and the Defense Intelligence Memorial Foundation, contributing to innovation and community initiatives. Previously, they held various strategic roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer and AH-1W Cobra pilot. Kurt graduated Cum Laude in Economics and Russian from the United States Naval Academy and earned an MBA in Strategy and Innovation from Harvard Business School.
