Steve Cox

Steve Cox is the current President & CEO at RAPPAHANNOCK GOODWILL INDUSTRIES. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President Communications & Marketing Operations at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC from January 2017 to October 2019. In this role, they oversaw a multi-million dollar budget for 3 departments and led a communications team spanning Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Issues Management, Entertainment Marketing, Patient Outreach and Social Media efforts. The Marketing Operations team was focused on Campaign Analytics, Traffic Management and Digital Integration while the Enterprise Content team (with multiple vendors) aimed at all aspects of content management/fundraising support.

Under Steve's leadership, the Communications team created distinct strategic aiming points around 3 core activities; 1) Revenue Generation, 2) Brand Building, 3) Reputation Management – developed supporting strategic plans, structure models and resource allocation approaches. For Marketing Operations, Steve led a full systems overhaul aimed at re-orienting it from a budget-based oversight function into a cohesive, value creation-based Agency/Partner Management, Analytics and Process Improvement activity.
