Piljae Chae

Piljae Chae serves as the first DevOps Engineer at Rapport Labs since September 2021, focusing on the development of the Queenit app and web platform. Prior to this, Piljae contributed as a DevOps Engineer at Riiid from August 2019 to August 2021, taking on additional Data Engineering tasks due to the absence of a dedicated Data Engineer. Responsibilities included building a Datalake for the SantaToeic product using AWS Data Pipeline and Spark, and resolving performance issues related to querying production databases. Additionally, Piljae has experience as an AI Researcher, designing score prediction models for various exams utilizing transfer learning. Earlier internship experience includes a position at the Music and Audio Research Group at Seoul National University, where research focused on Music Information Retrieval. Piljae completed studies at Seoul National University, earning a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the College of Liberal Studies, with graduation in August 2023.
